Stellum Rye

Stellum Spirits is an independent bottler of American Whiskey based in Louisville, Kentucky. They also operate Barrell Spirits, another independent bottler of Whiskey and Rum. This was their flagship rye bottling that has sadly been discontinued. It is based around the classic 95/5 Straight Rye from MGP in Indiana with some barley forward barrels distilled in Kentucky and Tennessee. An absolute flavor bomb of a Rye with pronounced aromas of mint, barrel char and vanilla. On the palate, it is spicy and tightly focused with more mint and some pastry-like sweetness.
