Cadenhead's Enigma 8 Year Orkney

57.5% ABV

8 year old "Orkney" single malt from an undisclosed distillery (it's Highland Park. SHHHHHH). Aged 8 years in ex-Bourbon barrels. Sweet and fruity with notes of ripe bananas, breakfast pastries, and some tropical fruits. A whisper of peat and shockingly easy drinking considering the alcoholic strength. We love the Enigma series from Cadenhead and have yet to be disappointed by a single release under that label. This is no exception.

Producer Notes:
The whiskies we bottle in our Cadenhead’s Enigma series are just that – unusual, hard to quantify, perhaps even slightly contradictory. They can be single casks, vattings of multiple casks, blends, blended malts or whatever else we can find that doesn’t fit into our existing bottling lineup but meets our only essential criteria – that they’re good.
