Prizefighter Bottle Shop is a boutique Spirits Shop/Liquor Store that opened in late 2023. We are located next door to Prizefighter Bar, an award-winning cocktail bar we founded in 2011. We offer a curated selection of our favorite spirits, wine, and beer with numerous options at every price point. Our retail space is warm and inviting, light and plant-filled on a heavily trafficked corner on the border of Emeryville and Berkeley. We are looking for a part-time retail sales associate to help us continue to build up the shop. Our ideal candidate is friendly, reliable, enjoys working with people and sharing their passion for well crafted spirits, wine and beer.

Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting and purchasing spirits, beer, wine and mixers
- Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge
- Communicate effectively with customers and staff
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking shelves and arranging displays

Requirements:
- Previous experience in retail sales and/or beverage hospitality is strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and assist multiple customers simultaneously
- Basic math skills for retail calculations
- An ability to lift boxes weighing up to 40 pounds.

This is a part time position and we are looking to fill 3 shifts per week, Tuesday/Wednesday/Saturday. Shifts are approximately 7 hours long. This is a ground floor opportunity with an established brand in the drinks space. Ongoing education and exposure to the best distillers, brewers, vintners, and importers in the business provide a comprehensive window into nearly every aspect of the business. Starting compensation is $22/hour.
