Habitation Velier Savanna "HERR" Rèunion Single Rum 2025

This rare release comes from the Savanna Distillery on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean, East of Madagascar. HERR stands for "High Ester Rum Reunion” and this Rum has 225-500 gr/hlpa at distillation. Esters are aromatic compounds that develop during fermentation that are usually described as funky. This is made from molasses that was open fermented for 11 days and double distilled in a double retort pot still. It is explosively aromatic and fruity. An absolute flavor bomb. Extremely rare with only 30 bottles made available in California.
