Cascahuin Siete Veces Diez Reposado

45% ABV

This is a special reserve bottling of Reposado from the Cascahuin distillery to honor the 70th birthday of Don Salvador Rosales Torres, the current CEO and the second generation of the family to run the Cascahuin distillery. "Siete Veces Diez" means "7 times 10" in Spanish. It is a blend of the three styles of tequila that they make under their own label (Blanco, Plata, and Tahona) each aged separately for 190 days in ex bourbon barrels. The expressions are differentiated by different methods of extraction (tahona or roller mill), fermentation vessels and type (concrete tanks, stainless steel, with and without fibers) and distillation (copper pot and stainless pot with copper coils). The three expressions are blended like Voltron to form a superior and incredibly rare Reposado! We almost never see any aged tequila under the Cascahuin label, much less something this special (though you can often find Repo and Añejo for labels that they produce for others). This is one for the collectors for sure but please don't just put it on the shelf to admire it. Liquid this special deserves to be enjoyed with friends!
