Nielluciu is a native Corsican grape that is closely related to Sangiovese. This wine is from the Patrimonio region of Corsica. The grapes were macerated whole cluster for a few days before pressing and aged for 6 months in stainless steel vats. It has a lighter and fresher profile than many Tuscan Sangiovese due its shorter maceration time. Violets, cherries, bright acidity and a whisper of natty funk. Pair it with charcuterie.
