Sean Thackrey Pleiades XXXII Old Vines Red

Multi vintage blend from the winery founded by the iconoclastic Bolinas Winemaker Sean Thackrey. He passed away in 2022, but his longtime associate Dustin Durfee has made the last few vintages in his image. We were sad to learn that this will be the final release from the winery. 

This wine is always a field blend, usually Sangiovese-driven with Pinot Noir, Viognier, Zinfandel, Syrah, Petite Sirah and, "perhaps, a few other assorted goodies." Named after the constellation of 7 stars because it often contained as many grapes in the blend. It is rustic and robust, a table wine of exceptional quality that even can age for a few years.
