Port Askaig is a village on the northeastern coast of Islay, Scotland and is the location of the main ferry entrance to the island. The brand was created by independent bottlers Elixir Distillers and it is an open secret that they source barrels for their core lineup from the Caol Ila Distillery on Islay. The 110 is a small batch, non-age stated blend of whiskies aged exclusively in American oak barrels. A briny, fruity, and smokey dram that drinks much easier than you might think at 110 proof. It has a creamy texture and blossoms with a splash of water, with well integrated peat smoke and tropical fruit flavors.
