"The Wolf of the Sierras" is is the family brand of Maestro Gerardo “El Lobo” Peńa. We first became familiar with his Raicilla when we tasted the Puntas bottling of the La Venenosa brand. After seeing this bottle again and again in shops and on back bars on trips to Mexico, we were delighted to finally see it available in the states.

Producer of the famed Puntas of La Venenosa, Lobo practices minimally invasive farming and works meticulously clean at his distillery. His “vinos” are as bright as his personality.  Made with Agave Maximiliana, this is Lobo's flagship expression and is one of the most well composed raicillas, representative of Lobo’s meticulous and harmonious distilling practices
