Natural/minimal intervention Zinfandel from the Del Barba Vineyard in Contra Costa County from bush vines planted in sandy soils in the 1890's. Spontaneous fermentation and aging in neutral barrels. Unfined and minimal sulfur added at bottling. Red fruits and leather, soft tannins and medium to full body with a long finish. Feels like a perfect pizza wine, or just a quaffable red to share amongst friends.
