Port Askaig is a village on the northeastern coast of Islay, Scotland and is the location of the main ferry entrance to the island. The brand was created by independent bottlers Elixir Distillers and it is an open secret that they source barrels for their core lineup from the Caol Ila Distillery on Islay. This is an 8 year old single malt that was aged in ex-Bourbon barrels. Lemon oil, sea spray, soft sweet smoke. A gentle, approachable, and moreish peaty dram.
