Sweet Gwendoline Dry French Gin

40% ABV

Delightful Gin from the south of France infused with Figue de Sollies, a variety of fig native to the area. Additionally it contains 6 classic Mediterranean gin botanicals and is proofed with local Moscatel wine. The name and artwork are inspired by a character created by a mid-20th century fetish photographer named John Willie. 

We normally prefer Gin that is proofed a bit higher than 80, but perhaps because of the addition of the off-dry white wine, Sweet Gwendoline has a lovely weight and viscosity on the palate that more than compensate for the lower ABV. Citrus, juniper, and cardamom are the dominant flavors and it's a touch sweeter than your average London Dry gin. It is the rare gin that we could gladly drink on its own over ice with a lemon twist. It also works well in citrusy cocktail applications.
