Nikka Coffey Gin

We love Japanese Gin! If there is one criticism that we occasionally have about them, it's that they're very often a bit low in proof. We always prefer a few extra degrees of alcohol in our Gin so that the flavors shine through in cocktail applications. Which is why we especially love this one. 47% ABV means that no matter what you mix it with, the bright flavors of the four Japanese citruses included in their botanical mix still shine through. In addition to those citrus, it also utilizes the traditional Gin botanicals of Juniper, Coriander, Angelica, Lemon & Orange Peel, as well as Sansho pepper. "Coffey" refers to the still type (another name for a column still, taken from Aeneas Coffey who invented it). Can we call this a "Tokyo Dry Gin"?! Is that a thing?
