Lemorton Reserve Calvados

40% ABV

From a 6th generation producer in the Domfrontais Region of Normandy. Made from 70-80% pears (the AOC for Calvados requires a minimum of 30%) and the remainder apples which are naturally fermented in large wooden tonneau for 9-10 months. It is distilled just once on a portable, wood fired copper column still and aged for 4-6 years in well used French oak casks. 

Heavy pear aromas with notes of mint, chocolate, and oxidation. Lengthy finish.
