Laird's Tenth Generation Apple Brandy

50% ABV

Laird & Company is "America's Oldest Distiller". Based in Scobeyville, New Jersey, their family has been distilling in America since the turn of the 18th century. George Washington requested their recipe for making Applejack and once dined at their family home. This brand is old in a way that things usually aren't in this country. Applejack was the first American spirit and this bottling celebrates the 10th generation of the Laird's family to work in the business. This is Bottled in Bond, made at their distillery in North Garden Virginia and aged for 5 years in ex-Bourbon barrels. It is lush with sweet apple fruit and some barrel spice. Drinks very easily for a Bonded spirit and although you could certainly cocktail with it, it sips wonderfully as well.
