You cannot tell the story of craft distilling in America without mentioning Clear Creek Distillery. Founded in Hood River Oregon in 1985, they were one of the first craft distillers and are still one of the best. Each bottle of their Pear Brandy requires 20 pounds of pears from their backyard in the Pacific Northwest for the final product. Remarkably concentrated and fragrant in the glass, a perfect expression of pear fruit.
