Rucola means Arugula in Italian. So yes, this is in fact an Arugula Amaro. Whoa...
From the Isle of Ischia off the Neapolitan coast, this is a first of it's kind Amaro made from locally grown Arugula, citrus peel, herbs and roots. Bright up front with notes of citrus, cedar, and a cola like sweetness. The finish is medium bitter which cleanses the palate. Not nearly as weird as it sounds. Just a delightful medium bitterness Amaro. It is recommended by the producer that you serve it cold from the freezer.
