Braulio Alpine Amaro

21% ABV

Alpine Amaro produced in the town of Bormio, located in the Alps near the Swiss border. A blend of herbs, roots, and berries, the only 4 of which they reveal are Wormwood, Yarrow, Juniper, and Gentian. They are macerated in neutral spirit for 30 days and then diluted down to 21% ABV. The infused spirit is then aged in large Slovenian oak barrels for up to 2 years. It is a higher bitterness Amaro with powerful notes of Gentian and Wormwood but is balanced by mild sweetness for a pleasant, lingering bitter finish. A fantastic digestivo and also makes a wonderful Amaro Daiquiri, which is basically just a sour using Amaro, Lime juice, and cane sirop in a 2:1:1 ratio.
