Veso Aperitif is the brainchild of Chris Beyer, a former software engineer who makes his Vermouth and Aperitivi on Treasure Island in San Francisco. This is a Dry Vermouth that is indeed infused with Cantabrian anchovies that were sourced in partnership with Fishwife Tinned Seafood Co. The anchovies and botanicals including shiitake mushroom, burdock root, wild cherry bark, angelica root, orange peel, and dandelion root are macerated in neutral grape spirit from St. George Spirits in Alameda. A California white wine base is fortified with the infused spirits and finished with a touch of cane sugar and sea salt. A salty umami bomb that will lift your Bloody Mary's, Dirty Martini's, and savory Spritzes.
