The Rums of Mexico - Toquecito - Pedro Andrés + Jorge Nàjera

51.1% ABV

The spiritual successor to “Melaza con Muck,” this three-barrel blend consists of Pot Still Rum distilled with dunder that has just a touch (“un toquecito”) of age. Two barrels were aged two years in ex-bourbon casks and then rested an additional 11 months in open-top demijohns; the third barrel was a Pot Still Rum distilled with young muck that spent five months in an American oak ex-rum cask.

TASTING NOTES from Rums of Mexico

Aroma: Grilled pineapple, cherry slushee, carpenter glue, cherry skin.

Palate: A balanced intensity of crystallized brown sugar, almond butter, cherry slushee, over-baked pineapple upside-down cake, and a persistent warmth in the mid-palate that finishes slightly dry hint of menthol.
