Singani 63

40% ABV

Singani is a category of unaged grape spirits from Bolivia. It's essentially what Peruvians and Chileans refer to as Pisco but it has it's own internationally recognized Denomination of Origin. The grapes for Singani must be grown in a Geographically Indicated area that is 5250 feet above sea level, high up in the Andes Mountains.

Singani 63 is owned by the film director Steven Soderbergh who was gifted a bottle by the crew when he was in Bolivia filming the Che Guevara biopic. He fell in love with the spirit and decided to start his own brand. It's made from Muscat of Alexandria grapes and the resulting spirit is aged for a minimum of 8 months in stainless steel tanks. It is bright and aromatic and is wonderful mixed with citrus and soda in a simple highball, or in a Singani Sour (instead of Pisco).
