Pinhook Straight Bourbon Whiskey 2024

49% ABV

Distilled at Castle & Key Distillery in Frankfort Kentucky with a mash bill of 75% Corn, 15% Rye, and 10% Malted Barley. This is their Flagship Bourbon release and as always, it's a delight! Banana bread and some sherry-like sulphur on the nose are both unexpected but extremely pleasing. On the palate it drinks easily with notes of cinnamon toast and barrel char. An everyday Bourbon of exceptional quality.

Producer Notes:
Aged more than 3 years, the 2024 vintage of our straight bourbon showcases a warm nose of butterscotch, dried apricot, and graham cracker. These transition to a palate of coffee, roasted peanuts, candied cinnamon, and crème brûlée.  

About Pinhook:
Pinhook is an independent bottler of American Whiskey based in Louisville, Kentucky. It was started by a Sommelier/bar owner from NYC in partnership with a "Pinhooker" from Kentucky. Pinhooking is the practice of purchasing young horses based on lineage, training them, and reselling them at a much higher price. This is how they saw their whiskey project as they would purchase barrels of new make spirit, and then age/blend/bottle them themselves.
