44% ABV

Ron Pelecañas is a sugarcane juice rum produced at Hacienda del Carmen, a sugar cane estate owned by the Serrano family since 1964. It is located in Jalisco Mexico in the shadow of the Volcan de Tequila volcano. The fresh pressed cane juice is fermented for 2-3 days in open top wooden tanks and distilled once in a stainless steel pot and rectified in copper pots to 55% ABV. It is proofed down to a cocktail friendly 44% ABV with well water prior to bottling. It is juicy and dry with notes of mango and fresh sugar cane funk.
