Meunier Génépy Altitude Herbal Liqueur

Génépy (sometimes spelled "Génépi") is a liqueur made from a plant of the same name which is a type of petite Artemisia or mountain sage. The plant grows wild in the high mountains of the Haut-Savoie region of France and it's harvest and cultivation is highly regulated. The House of Meunier has been producing Génépy as its primary focus for over 200 years. As of last year, they grow and cultivate all of the botanicals that they use on their own lands in the Savoie. It is classically sipped neat, mixed with tonic water, or hot chocolate. It's often used as a replacement for the increasingly hard to find Chartreuse, either Yellow or Green, both of which contain Génépy the plant in their botanical mix.
