Hemingway Daiquiri Cocktail Kit

Daiquiri #3/aka Papa Doble/aka Hemingway Daiquiri comes courtesy of Constantino (Constante) Ribalaigua Vert, the legendary head bartender of the El Floridita Bar in Havana, Cuba. The lore is that Ernest Hemingway (known as "Papa" in Cuba at the time) tried a Daiquiri at the bar and asked for another but without the sugar and twice the Rum.

Honestly, we prefer ours regular sized and with the proper amount of sweetener to balance the alcohol and citric acidity. But either way, the combination of White Rum, Maraschino, Grapefruit and Lime is a win no matter what the ratios you use.

The kit contains a bottle of Real McCoy White Rum, a half bottle of Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur, and a bottle of Liber & Co. Demerara Gum Syrup. 

The kit contains enough Rum for about 15 Daiquiris, a bit of extra Maraschino Liqueur, and DOES NOT include the limes/grapefruit/juice.

Hemingway Daiquiri
1.5oz Real McCoy 3 yr Rum
3/4oz Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
1oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice
1/2oz Fresh Lime Juice

Shake vigorously with ice and strain into a frozen coupe glass. Garnish it with a lime wheel. Rinse and repeat.
