Fuenteseca Cosecha 2020 "La Tuna de Arriba" Blanco Tequila

Fuenteseca is the project of the Fonseca Family from Tequila Don Fulano. They are masters of maturation and have crafted a line of long aged tequilas that manage to maintain the flavors and aromas of the agaves they are made from despite their extended time in oak casks. 

This is made from agaves that were sourced from a single estate or "orchard" in just north of Arandas, Jalisco called "La Tuna de Arriba". The Don Fulano distillery is in Tequila town in Los Valles or the Lowlands of Jalisco. Their aging facility is next to their agave fields which is in Los Altos or the Highlands of Jalisco. The agaves are cooked in a low pressure autoclave and crushed with a screw mill. It is fermented in stainless steel tanks and then double distilled in copper pots. The spirit was then rested for several years in stainless steel tanks, allowing the flavors of the spirit to meld and soften it's rough edges. Explosive agave fruit aromas with some peppery minerality and a long and sweet finish. As always, a stunning Blanco from Fuenteseca.
