A Oaxacan Mezcal based liqueur that features the rare Criollo Cacao bean. Reminiscent of Mole Negro, it has balanced natural sweetness, spiced botanical complexity and a warm finish. A lovely addition to an Espresso Martini, a Mezcal Old Fashioned, and many other cocktail applications.

Criollo de Oaxaca ‘Maria’ is a mezcal liqueur inspired by the rich flavors of mole negro,
crafted in Oaxaca, Mexico. The concept originates from Stephen Torres, who drew
inspiration from his grandmother Maria’s traditional mole recipe. To bring the vision to
life, Torres collaborated with Julia Momosé of Kumiko. Espadín mezcal is infused with
ingredients such as raisins, sesame, oregano, cacao, and chamomile, carefully sourced from
Oaxaca’s Central de Abastos market and surrounding areas. After infusion, the liqueur is
filtered and finished with miel de agave, resulting in a well-balanced spirit with a 30% ABV.
Criollo de Oaxaca ‘Maria’ pays homage to Oaxaca’s culinary heritage and the vibrant
essence of its markets, blending tradition with innovation.
