Chairman's Reserve Spiced Rum

40% ABV

This is the best commercially available spiced rum we've ever tried. Made at St. Lucia Distillers from 100% molasses and distilled in a Coffey column still. The rum is aged for 2-3 years in ex-Bourbon barrels before the spices are added over a period of 6 months. The original Chairman’s Reserve recipe is first steeped with Bois Bandé, a local Caribbean bark, before cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, vanilla, allspice, almond, lemon and orange peels are added. It is sweet and rich on the front palate with cinnamon and nutmeg being the most prominent flavors. A bit of citrus and some grip on the drying finish.
