Benchmark American whiskey. This whiskey was legendary amongst bartenders in the early 2000's before it was available on the West Coast. When friends would travel to Kentucky you'd always ask them to bring you back a bottle of that Bourbon that has the Buffalo nickel glued to the bottle! They've stopped using the nickels but the whiskey is just the same. Rich, balanced, toasty, affordable. Most everything else that Sazerac makes has become fetishized, priced out reach by collectors, and generally unavailable. But this beauty is always there for you. On the rocks or in a cocktail, it punches well above its weight.
