Latin for "100 herbs", Centum Herbis is more or less a category of bittersweet botanical liqueurs of which the most famous example is Green Chartreuse. Bordigas version is a bit lower in alcohol at 28% and like everything they produce, contains only botanicals that they can forage in the area immediately surrounding their distillery in the Piemontese Alps. As the name would lead you to believe, there are almost too many flavors and aromas in this one to describe. Genepy, eucalyptus, pine, peppermint, wormwood, fennel. A touch bitter, a fantastic after dinner drink or substitute for the increasingly hard to find Green Chartreuse in scores of classic cocktails.
