Bodegas Otañòn Contrebia Tempranillo Blanco 2025

From the Rioja Oriental in Spain comes this somewhat rare grape varietal that is a natural mutation of the ubiquitous Red Tempranillo grape of Rioja. It was only discovered in 1988 and Bodegas Otañòn planted 15 hectares of it in the early 90's. From sustainably grown grapes that are slowly direct pressed and fermented at a cooler temperature for 14 days. The juice spends 4 months on the lees to give the wine some body. Floral and textural with tropical fruits and stone fruits, vibrant acidity, and a lengthy and pleasant finish.
