Scheuermann Vin de Soda NV

Fun, frothy sparkling wine from Germany. A blend of Riesling, Weissburgunder, Muskateller, and Muller-Thurgau from the Rheinhessen-Pfalz region that were farmed certified organic and biodynamic. Vinified with indigenous yeasts and made in the Charmat method (similar to how Prosecco is produced) where it spends 7 months on the lees in stainless steel tank. Unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfites added at bottling. Fresh and fruity with zippy acidity and a whisper of residual sugar. Funnily enough, this cuvee was developed when the importer they work with in Sweden said that they needed a natural sparkling wine to serve for bottle service at nightclubs in Stockholm. We're not clubbing people, but drinking Vin de Soda while listening to Swedish House Mafia in a dark nightclub in wintry Stockholm sounds like a good time!
