Ercole (Say "Air-Koh-Lay") means "Hercules" in Italian and is an ode to the mighty growers from a cooperative in Monferrato, Piemonte who harvest the grapes for these wines. 100% Barbera which is originally native to Monferrato and to this day most of the prime vineyard sites are planted with it, not the more prestigious Nebbiolo. Most of the growers in the cooperative farm organically and all of them farm at least EU-certified sustainably. Fermented in concrete tanks with minimal SO2 additions.
