Byrrh Grand Quinquina

18% ABV

Pronounced "Beer", this is a classic aperitif from French Catalonia near the Spanish border. Made from a base of port-like wine and mistelle (barely fermented wine) and infused with Quinine and other botanicals. Fruity and refreshing by itself over ice, it also mixes well with white spirits (gin/mezcal/vodka/blanco tequila) and lighter aged spirits (cognac/reposado tequila). It is also a viable substitute for French Dubonnet which is currently unavailable in the US (a domestically produced version is available but not up to the standard of the French stuff in our humble opinion).
