Sazerac Rye 100 Proof

Sazerac has raised the ABV with their latest release! What has long been our favorite affordable sipping Rye whiskey is now even better as a cocktail mixer. Long bottled at 45% alcohol by volume, they now offer it at 50% and in a Liter bottle to boot. As you might expect, it's a bit punchier and more intense than the lower proof expression but is still a lovely and approachable sipper. It has some orange candy and stone fruit notes to balance the vanilla and caramel flavors you expect from Sazerac. It stands up to dilution better at the higher proof and is our current cocktail Rye of choice at the bar next door.
