Powers John's Lane 12 Year SIngle Pot Still Irish Whiskey

46% ABV

Power's was an Irish Whiskey that was originally made at the John's Lane Distillery in Dublin. The distillery was mothballed in 1970 and production moved to the Middleton Distillery in Cork where it is still produced today. This 12 year old expression is a Single Pot Still whiskey, a style that is unique to Ireland, and is made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley. It's said that the unmalted barley gives the whiskey a pleasant "bristle" that Single Malt whiskies don't have. It's triple distilled in traditional copper pot stills, aged for a minimum of 12 years and bottled without additives or chill filtration. It is one of the finest Irish whiskies available in our humble opinion and reasonably priced for a whiskey of it's age and quality.
