Pinhook Straight Rye Whiskey 2024

49.5% ABV

Made at Castle & Key Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky from a mash bill of 60% Rye, 20% Corn, and 20% Malted Barley and bottled at a robust 99 proof. Notes of pears, vanilla, cloves and honey. Does equally well as a sipper or mixed into cocktails. 

About Pinhook:
Pinhook is an independent bottler of American Whiskey based in Louisville, Kentucky. It was started by a Sommelier/bar owner from NYC in partnership with a "Pinhooker" from Kentucky. Pinhooking is the practice of purchasing young horses based on lineage, training them, and reselling them at a much higher price. This is how they saw their whiskey project as they would purchase barrels of new make spirit, and then age/blend/bottle them themselves.
