Michter's US*1 Sour Mash Whiskey

Sour Mash refers to a process in whiskey making where some of the spent mash from a previous batch is added to the next one to kickstart the fermentation. Sort of like a sourdough starter is used in bread making. This whiskey also has a unique mashbill that doesn't allow it to fit into any of the standard American Whiskey categories (i.e. it doesn't have 51% or more of any single grain like Bourbon/Rye/Malt whiskey does). 

Named American Whiskey of the year by the Whiskey Exchange in 2019. Spiced and a touch of smoke with sweet vanilla and cherry notes. Pour it over a big ice cube for an affordable luxury.
