Knappogue Castle 12 Year Cognac Cask Finish

Back in the early 2000's, Knappogue Castle was a brand you were always excited to see on a back bar. These were the dark days when the only common Irish whiskey options were regular Bushmills, Jameson, and maybe one of their special bottlings if you were in a really good bar.  This is a triple distilled (as is common in Ireland) Single Malt Whiskey that is finished in Cognac casks. Sort of flinty and mineral, clean with a bit of caramel. Just really solid Irish Single Malt at a great price.
