Mars Iwai Tradition Sakura Cask Finish

40% ABV

Iwai Tradition is a blend of 70% malted barley and 30% corn mash distilled at the Mars Shinshu distillery in Nagano, Japan. It's matured in a medley of ex-bourbon, sherry, and red wine barrels and a small amount of peated malts are used in the blend. It has notes of dark chocolate and toffee and is an excellent sipper or a luxurious highball ingredient. This limited edition version is finished in sakura (cherry blossom wood) casks for a further 6 months. The Sakura cask influence adds a red fruit and floral quality to the excellent base whisky.
