Single malt Japanese whisky produced at the namesake distillery in the forested Southern Alps of Japan. Much like with the limestone water of Kentucky, these whiskies are made from water that is slowly filtered through granite lending a rare softness. Lightly peated and aged in a range of different barrel types for a minimum of 12 years. It is subtly smoky with minerality, green tea notes, and some apple-y fruit.
