Non age stated Bourbon that used to be bottled at 12 years old but now has younger stocks blended in. It's widely assumed that it's about 8 years old on average. From a mashbill of 78% corn, 12% malted barley, and 10% rye and bottled at a robust 94 proof. We always get a strong note of peanuts, vanilla and caramel in this flagship Elijah Craig, named after the gentleman who supposedly was the first person to char his oak barrels and thus the "inventor of Kentucky Bourbon". An excellent value for a Bourbon of this age and flavor profile.
