 An affordable, approachable dram that is perfect for those just getting to know Scotch whisky, as well as complex enough to satisfy the seasoned drinker. A Speyside malt with a rich and oily texture that belies its relatively low 43% ABV. Benromach is independently owned (which is sadly rare) and ages their very lightly peated whiskies in first fill ex-Bourbon and Sherry casks. It has a creaminess, malty sweetness, a hint of woodsmoke, and some fruity notes as well. A simply delightful everyday whisky.
