This is the flagship Bourbon from Barrell, a Louisville Kentucky based blending house. We've loved nearly everything we've ever tried from them and this is no different. We think it's such a great sign of growth for the American whiskey industry that blenders are now taken seriously and recognized for the expertise that they bring. These folks aren't distillers nor do they want to be. They are barrel pickers and blenders that merge the combined talents of distillers from all over the US and Canada.

Anyhow, this is a deeply spiced, lively whiskey that blooms with an ice cube or a splash of water. Cinnamon, toasty oak, lush sweetness. This is the first non-cask strength whiskey they've ever released but it's certainly not short on flavor or power.
