The original Single Barrel Bourbon that invented the category for American Whiskey. Former Buffalo Trace Master Distiller Elmer T. Lee recalled that a former president of the company named Colonel Albert B. Blanton used to pick cherry barrels and bottle them for his own consumption. Inspired by that tradition, he created Blanton's Bourbon  in 1984 as the first Single Barrel Bourbon to be offered to the public.
