San Matias Tahona Añejo

40% ABV

This is our kind of Añejo! Lighter in color with barrel influence that highlights the flavor of the base spirit rather than overwhelming it. The estate agaves are roasted in brick ovens and crushed with a stone tahona. The mash is fermented with deep well water in wooden tanks and double distilled in copper pots. It has notes of nougat and chocolate with an orange oil and tart stone fruit finish. We think this is best savored in a snifter, neat, preferably after an exquisite meal.
