Madre Tequila Blanco

Madre started as a mezcal brand, working with 5 different families in Oaxaca. This is their first Tequila release and it's an absolute delight! Made from single estate agaves harvested from some of the highest elevation sites in Jalisco at nearly 7500 feet. The agaves are cooked in a traditional brick oven and crushed with a screw mill. The mash is fermented with deep well water in stainless steel tanks using ambient yeasts. It's double distilled to proof in stainless steel pot stills.

Funky and lactic with loads of sweet agave fruit, minerality and earth. A delightful and unexpected new entrant to the Tequila category.
