Transcontinental Rum Line is a project from the importers La Maison & Velier that is inspired by the historical trips that rum casks took between the "New World" and the European continent. All of the Rums in this line are aged both tropically at their point of origin and continentally in Europe. 

The Fiji 2014 was distilled at South Pacific Distillers in 2014 from locally sourced molasses and Fijian spring water. It was aged for over 2 years at the distillery and a further year plus in Europe. Pot still, high ester profile with some tropical fruit and bright, funky aromas. Has a bit of umami on the palate (jamon serrano?) and a slight afterburn with some acidity. A funky rum lovers delight.
