The Rums of Mexico - Caña Dura - Marcos Lopez

The Rums of Mexico - Caña Dura - Marcos Lopez

46.7% ABV

From Cosautlán de Carvajal, Veracrúz. Prized for its resilience, the pale yellow-green Caña
Dura, also referred to as Caña Fierro, is the most common cane variety found in Cosautlán de Carvajal,  Veracruz, where this batch was distilled by fourth-generation aguardientero Marcos López on a five-plate continuous still made of stainless steel and copper. Not only an adroit aguardiente distiller, Marcos also cultivates coffee, limes & citrus honey.

TASTING NOTES - From The Rums of Mexico
The nose is salty and savory with tapenade, cucumber, watermelon, capers, and lime. The palate brings nectarine skin, golden apples, honey, oat bran, and wet rocks.
