Planteray Cut & Dry Coconut Rum

Planteray is the new name for Plantation Rums and this is the first product of theirs to carry the new name. The base rum is from West Indies Rum Distillery and it's infused with white coconut flesh from fruit grown on the island. On the nose and palate, we can't help but think of Mounds chocolate bars. Explosive aromas of dried coconut and milk chocolate. On the palate, it's deceptively dry as it reads quite sweet up front but finishes lean and clean. Much like with their Stiggin's Fancy Pineapple Rum, it can be the star of the show in cocktails, but because it's so full flavored it also works well as a coconut modifier with other spirits.
